PIZZA SNOB RATING **** Near Perfection   

I was sad to learn that Paulus Hook Brick Oven Pizza has closed for good. In addition to making a great Neapolitan pie, it was special to me in that it was one of my first reviews and was located in the neighborhood of my old high school. In fact, my visit there was also a reunion with some of my old classmates.

Not sure why they closed, but wonder if the opening of nearby pizza superstar joint Razza had anything to do with it. Whatever the reason, I wish the folks behind Paulus Hook the best and thank them for being part of the Snob’s early days.
